• Hank Don't Fail Me Now: R&R Radio Editor Adam Jacobson checks in with an analysis of overall Country listenership gains in Indianapolis. The spring 2005 Arbitrons for the market, ranked No. 41, were released this afternoon, and Susquehanna's Country WFMS remains the market leader. WFMS is No. 1 12+ (11.4-10.3), 25-54 (10.0-9.2) and 35-64 (12.4-10.1) and improves from third to second 18-34 despite a 9.4-8.5 dip.

However, Emmis' crosstown WLHK (97.1 Hank FM), which on March 25 switched from Hot AC WENS to an eclectic Country format modeled after the "Jack" and "Bob" Adult Hits stations, enjoyed a tremendous performance in the spring survey. Hank FM is now No. 7 12+ thanks to a 1.8-5.1 jump. In the 18-34 demo, Hank soars 2.3-4.8, placing at No. 8, while among 25-54s Hank moves 2.1-4.8 to finish at No. 9. In the 35-64 demo, Hank jumps ahead 1.6-5.0 and is now No. 8. Hank also saw significant gains in nights -- where it's now tied for No. 4 12+ -- as well as in mornings, middays and afternoons.
