The catch in Anchorage is that a company can hold a duopoly provided that one station is not among the top four in ratings unless a waiver is filed. The FCC claims Gray filed no waiver when they acquired KTVA which got moved to KYES/channel 5 and became KAUU . Gray says the FCC approved the sale to start with so this may go to court.
