"Funny" Call Letters

Several call letters the Federal Communications Commission issued this year:

K U N T - LP for a TV station in Hawaii.

My favorite:

K W T F - LP for a station in Arizona.

http://svartifoss2.fcc.gov/reports7/callsign.cfm and use the wildcard search for these.

Also: How about KCUF in Colorado ....

KLSD is funny. Last time I looked there was a WLSD in Big Stone Gap, Va. KPOO and KBOO are bad choices. KOOL is ironic considering its in Phoenix, or it was. KFAB in Fabulous Omaha. But I am totally stunned that the FCC would grant those Hawai'i letters. Talk about bad taste...

I always thought KGB was a funny set, until I realized that the call letters pre-dated the actual Soviet agency of the same name. Either way, KGB FM had quite a bit of fun with it too back in the day. Which begs the question, I wonder how much of KGB 's current audience even gets the joke now?
