Entravision, the Spanish-language TV and radio broadcaster that made $264 million selling stations in the FCC incentive auction, is spending $3.75 million to buy independent KMCC Las Vegas (DMA 40), according to an FCC filing.
Entravision currently owns KINC Las Vegas, but its filing says the proposed deal does not violate the FCC's prohibition against owning two stations in a market because it qualifies for an exception. Neither station is among the market's top four rated and the market will have more than eight independently owned stations after the deal closes.
The seller is Cranston Acquisition LLC of Chicago.
