CBS has put its O&O stations on co-owned Pluto TV. Pluto TV is the CBS owned internet streaming FREE television service owned by CBS. Anyone with a new TV that's hooked up to the internet can get Pluto. But it's targeted to folks who have cut their cable subscription.
On Pluto, you can see the local CBS news channels for WCBS NYC, KCBS LA, WBBM Chicago, KPIX San Francisco, plus Dallas, Philadelphia, Boston, Minneapolis, Denver, Sacramento and Pittsburgh. They re-run some of their weekday newscasts when they are not live. But on weekends, its mostly the streaming CBSN news service. I guess they don't want to keep repeating the same newscasts all day on weekends.
It would be good to see the ABC O&O news channels on Pluto as well. Pluto does run NBC News Now and ABC News streaming service, as well as some other news channels like Newsy and the CBC. But since Pluto is CBS-owned, maybe they won't put every ABC O&O station on Pluto. We'll see.
