Montreal's Jewish radio station will be dark as of April 1st. The station is not economically viable and the owner doesn't want to keep sinking money into it. He tried to put it up for sale to any one interested but there were no takers.
The signal won't be going dark after all , but the Jewish programming of Radio Shalom is now done as of 6 pm. More details about the new ownership and programming will be coming out in an article in the Montreal Gazette tomorrow. As of now the usual Friday night programming is airing. It is expected the station might switch to French language Christian programming.
