Ok, I am gonna throw this out there. I know it's early...but unfortunately time to start thinking about it. Anyone have any ideas on songs or suggestions for Christmas tunes for a Classic Rock station? I am struggling to put a good list together that isn't going to get old really fast!

Please help me!

Here's a mess of 'em:

JETRO TULL: Christmas Song, Greensleeved
BOB SEGER: Little Drummer Boy
BOB SEGER & THE LAST HERD: Sock it to Me Santa
GOEOGE THOROGOOD & THE DESTOYERS: Rock & Roll CHristmas
RAMONES: Merry Christmas (I Don't Wanna Fight)
SPINAL TAP: Christmas With the Devil
GREG LAKE

Here are a few more..

Billy Squier-Christmas Is The Time To Say I Love You
Queen-Thank God It's Christmas
Bryan Adams-Christmas Time
Billy Idol-New Christmas song from 05'.(can't remember title)
Bryan Setzer Orchestra-Has an entire Christmas cd out from a few years ago.

There is also a cd called "Classic Rock Christmas" with REO, 38 Special, and some others on it that are pretty good.

Have fun..
This format has some really great Christmas songs.
You just need to spend some time looking for and listening to them..

Springsteen: Santa Clause is Coming To Town
and Merry Christmas Baby

Gregg Lake: I Believe In Father Christmas.
The Waitresses have something too, but too many cobwebs.

The Waitresses - Merry Christmas

And the McKenzie (Bob & Doug) Brothers - 12 days of Christmas.

The Waitresses song is actually called "Christmas Wrapping"

Others:
Band-Aid - Do they Know It's Christmas
Paul McCartney - Wonderful Christmastime
John & Yoko - Happy X-mas/War is Over
Cheech & Chong - Santa and his Old Lady
Elton John - Step into Christmas
Eagles - Please Come Home for Christmas
U2 - Christmas (Baby Please Come home)
Tom Petty - Christmas All Over again
John Mellencamp - I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus
Trans-Siberian Orchestra - Christmas Eve/Sarajevo (newer, but classic rock listeners love it too)
Kinks - Father Christmas
Pretenders - Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas

Gary Hoey's released 3, count 'em THREE X-mas cds, mostly instrumentals... and the 2 Merry Axe-mas compilations have some decent stuff too.

Plus all the Bob Rivers comedy classics... I am Santa Claus, Sled Zeppelin, Walkin round in Womens Underwear, 12 Pains of Christmas....

Ho Ho Ho!
