CDBS Database Schema

Hello!

I'm wondering if anyone knows if information about the columns in the downloadable public CDBS database files exists? These files are CSV-like with information I want to use, but there's no headers in the file describing what each of the columns are. There's a PDF file with the column information, which is very close to what I want, but the data in this file is listed in alphabetical order and not the order it is actually displayed in the file. This one change makes the PDF file almost useless.

I figure I must be missing something, because it appears that the only way to read these database files is to guess which column is which. Does anyone know any more information about it?

Thanks!

Please also note, that CDBS is currently only reliable for AM information and eventually, the FCC will be moving that to LMS. For FM and TV, the CDBS data is no longer reliable and you need to use the LMS data set.

Thanks for clarifying this... we count on you for resolving this kind of issue.

And remember, Michi's https://home.recnet.com/ is a great place for FCC information, coverage maps and loads of LPFM information. If you don't have it bookmarked, do it right now!!!

(And if you have a couple of spare bucks, making a contribution to that site is worthwhile... I just did!).

I also made a donation to the site.
