Federal Judge John Curtin dismissed a lawsuit filed by Carol Kaplan against WGRZ last Monday. Curtin ruled that insufficient evidence exists that WGRZ discriminated against Kaplan when they fired her and hired Bazi Kanani as her replacement.
Kaplan's attorney says that they'll appeal the ruling. Kaplan has also filed a second lawsuit maintaining that she was fired illegally in 2004. That suit is still pending.
