An hour and a half or so before I wrote this message (I'm writing it at 5:45 P.M. EDT August 2nd), an Air France Airbus A-340 had skidded and crashed while trying to land during a severe thunderstorm at Toronto's Pearson Airport.
Given that their off-air signals do reach Toronto (and are on cable TV throughout much of southern Ontario), can I assume that WGRZ-2, WIVB-4 and WKBW-7 have been broadcasting wall-to-wall news coverage?? And how much of it is locally-produced and how much of it has been a simulcast of a Canadian-based cable news channel like CBC Newsworld, CTV Newsnet, or CHUM/CITY-57's Citypulse 24??
Any information you can provide will be appreciated.
