CILV 88.5 received approval today to increase their power and move the transmission site, changing the channel class from B to C1, increasing the maximum effective radiated power (ERP) from 12,000 to 90,000 watts (average ERP from 2,300 to 37,000 watts) and decreasing the antenna’s effective height above average terrain from 254.6 to 130.7 metres.
They'll share a tower with CHRI and CJOT.
CIDG 101.9 will soon be at 101.7 and will also receive an increase in power increase from from 5,500 to 19,500 watts (maximum ERP). They'll be swapping frequencies with CHIP. CHIP will keep it's current power level.
CJVN 92.7 has begun on again and off again testing. Testing has been sporadic. The station will offer a French language CCM format and will only have 50 watts of power from a tower in the French speaking Vanier neighbourhood.
