96.7 The Coyote Fayetteville Falls Into Red Dirt

Rox Radio Group has moved the programming of Texas/Red Dirt Country “Red Dirt 106.1” 1250 KRRD/106.1 K291CK Fayetteville AR to 96.7 KCYT Fayetteville replacing Country “96.7 The Coyote” under new KXRD call letters.

The move follows the pending $300,000 sale of KRRD/K291CK to KTV Media. It is the second format change to come after Rox completed its acquisition of Hog Radio Inc.’s Fayetteville cluster earlier this year as the company flipped Classic Hits “Star 101.5” KFMD Greenland to Hot AC “101.5 My-FM“.

Kind of surprised Rox would put Red Dirt Radio on 96.7. At least it’s something somewhat unique.

As I mentioned in another thread, I expect KRRD 1250/106.1 to either go to some form of Spanish-language programming or to MeTV FM.
