95.7 Duke FM

The latest ratings came out today for Knoxville and WDKW has a 3.8. That's the higest I recall 95.7 ever getting. Can somebody remeber what it was getting as Jack FM and Oldies?

I noticed that too. It’s the highest I recall. Besides Jack & the oldies format, they also had The X’s active rock format, the Power FM CHR format, sports talk The Team, & Hot AC Mix. But I don’t remember any of those doing that well (The X could have come close maybe). The classic country format always seems to do quite well in ratings in the south, but it’s terribly hard to sell. I’m sure its main purpose is a flanker to shave shares off WIVK to help sister stations WIMZ & B97.5 in ad buys and ratings against WIVK.

Yes, I’m positive that Duke is a flanker and I think it’s living up to expectations. Awesome 93.1 does the same as a B97.5 flanker. I wouldn’t be surprised to see a WIMZ flanker at some point.
