That's good it give you a better shot at DX. Those stations can be annoying to DXers.

I hope it never comes back...what a waste of a station.

I've picked up this station before, up here in eastern Ontario, although Toronto's 530 CIAO usually rules the air waves here.

EDIT: I believe I'm picking it up right now, weakly underneath CIAO. Definitely 'easy listening', with a bit of a latin flavour to it...

Keep in mind, that sometimes CIAO also plays blocks of 'easy listening' music, when a particular announcer for one of their shows doesn't show up.
