Hmm, no....I don't have the answer to that question.....

Looks like coverage will increase to the north, of course.....and a little bit to the East. Coverage to the south stays exactly the same

That's a nice upgrade for 107.3 -- from a C1 to a C0 and up to 1,345' on the 105.5 tower. While the northern coverage expansion with city-grade all the way to Homosassa Springs will be a perk, the fact that it'll have city-grade all the way east to Lakeland should help its eastern Hillsborough County Arbitron results.
______________

Looking at radio-locator, it appears that 97.1 and 97.9 are also on that tower.

Also on that tower, the Bay News 9 ENG receiver.

Which TV is on that tower? 22 or 10? Just curious

Just channel 10 anymore......22 moved to riverview a couple years ago.

It reminds me of what one of our consultants at Channel 10 would say (when I used to work there), "They love us in Hernando County!" Only the consultant would say Hernando with an added Spanish accent that came out of nowhere, which was high comedy...
______________

I thought channel 10 was on a different tower up there, I thought there were two towers about the same height, one for 10 and the other had the radio stations. I could be wrong. (WTSP-DT is in Riverview)

FYI...channel 10 still does very well in Pasco, Hernando and even Citrus counties. I think those are the only counties the constantly rank Channel 10 as #1. It is amazing to me since if you watch the newscasts, Channel 10 almost never covers any stories up there. I think there are many 55+ residents who automatically switch to Channel 10 at 6 pm because they got such a good signal from them for years and years.

Interesting stat...I heard the other day (from a CONsultant) that is Pasco Co. keeps growing at the same pace, it will have a higher population than Polk County "before you know it." Now, how many radio stations are left covering Pasco county? Hmmmm.

Actually, WTSP-DT (24) is also in Holiday on the same tower as analog 10. If you receive the Tampa TV digital stations off antenna and you're in St. Pete... most likely you need still need a separate UHF yagi type antenna facing Pasco to catch the digital signal on 24. Funny thing is, if you drive around some of the older neighborhoods, you'll still see 25-30 year old antennas on homes with the big VHF/UHF combo pointing towards Riverview and a small VHF facing Pasco. That's why!

Just so I add something about 107.3... it's obviously a consolidation thing for Cox. Moving 107.3 up there with 105.5 and 97.1 makes it easy for engineering, they save money on tower space, and they get a coverage boost too. Everyone wins.

Those antennas were actually called "Tampa Bay Specials" by the manufacturer.
______________

Your right..there is 2 towers....If I am not mistaken the one channel 10 is on is about 1100 ft....the tower with the FM stations is about 1400 ft.

I would make it easier for engineering. But, they wouldn't save any money. That is the 98ROCK tower and I doubt they would go on there for free. :)
