KTiP Porterville

Speaking of Meadow Lakes, KVPR sends a marginal signal into Porterville from that mountain site. Even Visalia and Tulare listeners can have signal issues with NPR-Fresno. KPRX does not backfill the Porterville coverage gap either.
 
Surprise! Surprise! JA Ventures must be reading this thread.

Today, KTIP's owners filed to upgrade the 101.3 K267CG translator to 250 watts, ERP and move it back on to their AM tower. (If you drive by the tower you will see an FM translator antenna already there installed by the previous owner.)

The signal might now reach into Lindsay, Exeter and even Tulare. Jam'n 101.3 for everyone!
