KIMA is now owned by Sinclair Broadcast Group who bullied on the Block Communications Buckeye CableSystem in Toledo, Ohio by refusing and failing to allow Buckeye Cable the proper chance to negotiate to carry WNWO without needing to carry the planned news channel without Sinclair permission for the privilege and right to carry WNWO till Buckeye Cable was willing to have its subscribers be willing to pay up to $2-3.00 per subscribers per month for WNWO and used it to help launch the new cable news channel along with costs associated with Sinclair’s planned acquisition of Allbritton all under the order of David Smith with Barry Faber and David Amy having no choice but to follow the very strict marching orders from their boss David Smith for negotiating for carriage of WNWO on the Buckeye CableSystem over in Toledo, Ohio.
David Smith, Barry Faber, David Amy, Sinclair lobbyist Rebecca Hanson, and Sinclair Broadcast Group itself was way too busy on trying to focus on lobbying and bribing to the FCC in getting their acquisition of TV stations from the Allbritton deal done with allowing Armstrong Williams taking control of WABM in Birmingham, Alabama, WMMP in Charleston, South Carolina, and possibly WLYH in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania for Armstrong Williams to operate under the Howard Stirk Holdings company being operated under David Smith where Allbritton stations WBMA/WCFT/WJSU, WCIV, and WHTM also operate and overlap where both Sinclair and Allbritton both have TV stations over there in the same TV DMA market then trying to give Buckeye Cable System the proper chance at allowing them to have carriage of WNWO again at the time of Buckeye retransmission consent dispute with Sinclair over carriage of WNWO.
With Sinclair ownership of KIMA, KATU, KOMO from the Fisher acquisition, I would expect Sinclair with David Smith and his colleagues Barry Faber, and David Amy to bully cable and satellite (Directv and Dish) operators in future retransmission consent negotiations with Barry Faber, and David Amy having no choice but to follow the very strict marching orders from David Smith on bullying the MSO when retransmission consent negotiations stalls with the MSO being barred from the carrying the TV stations signals and carrying an out of market stations airing the same network as the in market station Sinclair controls in a retransmission consent dispute between an MSO and Sinclair MSOs to carry their stations without Sinclair's permission till the MSOs is willing to agreed to pay $2.40-3 (($.50 NBC, ABC, or FOX), ($.90 CBS), ($.25 CW, or MYNET), $1.00 local and syndication, $.90-1.50 to help launch the cable news channel Sinclair is launching) dollars for the privilege and right to carry Sinclair's stations and agreed to carry the new cable news channel that Sinclair is using to take WJLA's News Channel 8 into a national news channel for Sinclair that isn't yet on the air that Sinclair wants all the cable and satellite to carry the cable channel on cable and satellite basic tier.
I would also predict that Sinclair could also be one of the broadcasters that could also try to pursue on acquiring NTV (KHGI-KWNB) and KFXL Fox Nebraska based out of Axtell, Nebraska in the Kearney area from Harry Pappas and his Pappas Telecasting under the Pappas Liquidating Trust with receivership trustee David Stapleton in charge of the trust mainly by using the money on hand from the 2014 elections by airing political campaign ads for the political candidates on the Tv stations Sinclair operates and control and money from various banks. An Sinclair acquisition of NTV/KFXL would have Sinclair having a monopoly of FOX network service in the majority of Kansas with KSAS, Nebraska with NTV/KFXL, KPTM, and KPTH, and Iowa with KPTH, KPTM, KDSM, and KFXA completely in those states.
