Tegna has hired Mike Polk to do segments for their Cleveland outlet

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Comedian and writer Mike Polk Jr. is joining Channel 3 News in a new role starting this summer, WKYC confirmed Thursday.

“We are thrilled to welcome Mike Polk Jr. to the WKYC family," said the station’s General Manager Micki Byrnes in a statement. "Mike is one of the most well-established and successful figures in the Cleveland comedy scene and we’re excited that he’ll be bringing a fresh perspective and smart sense of humor to the local news cycle on a daily basis.”
