WINK's Rufer Waves Goodbye

Chad Rufer, program director for 96.9 WINK-FM as well as the brand new sister station WINK News Radio, has given his two weeks notice and will depart for Sacramento's "Now 100.5 FM" following next Friday:

Rufer is also WINK-FM's evening jock - which begs the question: which canned/piped-in/syndicated air talent are they going to bring in to replace him?

Not sure, but thanks for the heads up.
My resume & aircheck is coming your way, WINK-FM boss.
What a dream come true if I were to be on-air in my hometown.
And congrats to Chad for scoring a new radio position!

Yes, congratulations!

At the same time it's really gotta suck working for a radio station/company that doesnt subscribe to Arbitron. Why be a PD or have a PD in that situation.
It's too bad, that company could really do well if they knew how to spend money and get good people to compete in the market better.
