WFUV Buys Time on WNYE for Morning Drive

WFUV is also heard on WNYE (91.5 FM) on weekdays from 6 AM - 10 AM. The reasoning seems to be that reception in parts of lower Manhattan and Brooklyn is poor. Would it be more effective for there to be repeaters at 90.7 FM to cover areas with weak reception? This way reception will be improved 24/7. On the other hand, I was able to receive WFUV in my car from Stony Brook, Long Island. I presume that the skyscrapers in lower Manhattan create problems in reception.

adding on channel boosters is allowed if its inside a certain contour of the main signal depending on the class of license, but they can also create areas of interference when they clash
