Weekend ATC Moves to LA

Both the New York and LA Times have features on Weekend All Things Considered moving West, starting this weekend. NPR is strapped for cash and the duplicate West Coast facility is being under utilized. It has not been home to an NPR show since the last time NPR was short of cash and cancelled Day to Day. NPR has a big empty barn in Culver City, plus APM Marketplace has a facility in LA and there are three "member stations" with studios producing shows for national distribution.

NPR moves weekend edition of 'All Things Considered' to L.A. area
The weekend edition of 'All Things Considered,' which had been done in Washington, is the only NPR news program to be based in its Culver City office.
