WBTS and WJAR "NBC logo" reductions?

As the calendar year has changed from 2023 to 2024, I've noticed some changes to the logo bugs on the NBC stations in both Boston and Providence during local news.

WBTS has re-introduced the 5 Olympic rings to its logo, resulting in the number 10 in its logo no longer being partially covered by the NBC peacock. WJAR has now added "WJAR" underneath the "NBC 10" logo, along with what looks like a gold-colored "ribbon" around it.

As a result, the NBC peacock in both affiliates' logos is now miniscule. Why is this?
