WBPX move?

Speaking of WBPX, its satellite station WDPX in Barnstable had its frequency sold, and it is moving to Woburn, MA, according to the rec.com database. Why would they have this station stay on the air and cover virtually the same area and programming as WBPX, rather than stay in Barnstable and cover Cape Cod with the ION network programs?

Probably for the same reason that WPXQ in the New Bedford/Providence market got its hands on WLWC-28.....so that ION Life could get "must carry" status on 28.1 with the WLWC license.

My hunch is WBPX has much the same strategy in mind for WDPX.

They have must-carry status for 2 stations, collected $43 million to shut down WDPX, and don't have the operating costs of WDPX.
