Urban Warfare in Houston

A fight has broken out in Houston, and casualties are imminent...

KCOH, AM 1230 on your radio dial, has suddenly found itself a straight up, head to head competitor. 880 KJOZ appears to have gone away from the progressive talk programming and moved to Urban Oldies. On top of that, KJOZ is now employing quite a few of the former KCOH hosts including Michael Harris and Don Sam. Great news for the oldies fans here in Houston, a stronger signal airing the old familiar faves, but can 1230 survive the onslaught of the 10kW neighbor from the north, belting out a lot of the same music that KCOH had been keeping all to itself?

Hey look, 1975 is calling and wants it's scenario back...
