Unlicensed operation on 87.9 FM

For the last week or so in Southington I've been picking up a fuzzy, but listenable signal on 87.9 FM on my car stereo playing Spanish language programming. Some of it was music. Yesterday when I was in the Pine Street area of Bristol (off of Yarde Drive) not very far from Stop and Shop the signal was really strong and crystal clear.

I think, it's in cromwell, it comes in quite well on RT 217 & RT 372, I'm not sure if it's tthe same one tthat comes in well in hartford. Both play spanish music, no id's or announcements of any kind and many times they are just dead air.

There was one similar to that in the New Haven area a few years ago. It was on 104.5 and often was so badly overmodulated, it splattered over 104.9. Then it went silent... and stayed that way for MONTHS... 24/7, just a dead carrier. It eventually got shut down, when a translator wanted to move from 104.9 in Bridgeport, to 104.5 which was very beneficial to WIHS.
