The Steve Harvey situation now has a twist...

My understanding is that Steve Harvey left radio, because he was tired and wanted to focus on other aspects of his career. However, if that is the case, why has he been at WBLS/New York doing mornings all week and is possibly in line to take over full time?

Did something happen between Radio One and Steve? <P ID="signature">______________

Possibly he was tired of the morning show grind, figured the WBLS fill-in was a nice temporary gig, and is now considering a full-time return. People do change their minds sometimes, if something feels right.

I can't see Inner City having deeper pockets than R-O to pay
Harvey a bigger paycheck from what he was getting paid at KKBT.
Steve Harvey constantly complained about the music he had to play.
In addition to how management handled things at the station. And
he would make these comments over the air that I believe didn't fly
very well with R-O. As a result of this, I believe he put own neck into
the noose where R-O would'nt renew his contract. The only thing I didn't
like with Radio-One was that they didn't retain his co-host Shirley Strawberry.
A great personility. And a sexy voice to wake up to.

Well, at least WBLS does play the music that Steve Harvey likes. And
Inner City better do something quick. Because their #'s just came out.
And they need help.
