Maybe this will provide some direction for alternative stations, who really appear to be struggling. I've said elsewhere that Ed Sheeren has been taking a leadership role in bringing together some great artist/songwriter collaborations. There needs to be more of this. The record labels don't seem to have a clue. So its up to the artists to take the lead.

Looking at that list, there's a lot of classic rock in there.
