"THANKFUL" Songs

We have an HD-2 radio station in the Detroit area that is playing Halloween music all month, which got me to thinking: what kind of music would a radio station play if it were to do an all-Thanksgiving format - i.e. songs with "thank you" in the title or songs with lyrics expressing gratitude?

Here are a few to get us started:

Thank You (Falettinme Be Mice Elf Again) - Sly & The Family Stone
You've Made Me So Very Happy - Blood, Sweat & Tears
I Thank You - Sam & Dave
I Love You - Climax Blues Band
You Make Me Feel Brand New - The Stylistics
Thank You For Being A Friend - Andrew Gold, "Golden Girls" Theme
Because You Loved Me - Celine Dion
Kind And Generous - Natalie Merchant

The most classic "Thanks" song I can think of is, of course, Bob Hope's closing theme song:
"Thanks For The Memories". Frank Sinatra had a full length version by the same title.

Judy Garland recorded a promotional sort of thing for her motion picture studio, "Thanks For The Memory",

Lest we leave out our C&W fans, I'll have to include a classic, "Thank God For The Radio", by The Kendalls

Now that we're on country music, Alan Jackson's cover of the Kendall's hit is a must to hear, please enjoy the steel-guitar break.

So, that's my two cents worth. Thank you for asking. 8)

Thank God I'm a Country Boy- John Denver
God Bless The USA - Lee Geenwood

Thank You Pretty Baby - Brook Benton
How Sweet It Is - James Taylor (I just want to stop; thank you, baby)

Thank You For The Music - ABBA
