Steve Gorman To Host Nightly Classic Rock Show For Westwood One

https://radioinsight.com/headlines/...t-nightly-classic-rock-show-for-westwood-one/

Cumulus Media’s Westwood One syndicator will launch a nightly Classic Rock show hosted by Black Crowes and Stereophonics drummer and former Fox Sports Radio host Steve Gorman.

Steve Gorman Rocks! will debut on September 9 on over 20 stations with Cumulus VP/Rock Programming Troy Hanson overseeing the show and 92.5 KQRS Minneapolis PD Scott Jameson programming the music.

Show will start on September 9th.

So many middle to small market stations don't have an evening DJ anymore. So this makes sense. Alice Cooper hosts a similar show five nights a week for stations wanting a syndicated show for the evening time slot.

If AC has Delilah and John Tesh, I guess Classic Rock can have two syndicated evening shows as well. It's better than simply running songs, commercials and pre-recorded liners, which is what many adult-aimed FM stations do after 7pm.
