Spirit of radio lives on in community, internet stations

True about college radio and these community stations. BumbleBeeRadio is out of Beverly with
WBZ's Kristen Eck. Stations like my WMWM and also WMFO have done local band interviews, played new releases and had local artists perform live ("Live Day", "Acoustic Day")

I get thanked on Facebook by local artists like
Bird Mancini and Sal Baglio (ex Stompers, now Peppermint Kicks) for playing their music. WFNX, WBCN, WAAF and local shows on these stationa are gone (or relocated to the Web). I think local stations like WBOQ, WATD, WBWL and WKLB
will give exposure to local artists.

We have done interviews about local events--hey, here's the author of a play about the Salem Witch Trials...before pandemic hit we had Paul Nelson band (Johnny Winter's guitarist) play live in studio...
