Smooth Jazz...

...seems to be making a comeback. Some FM and some AM. Regardless, stations are picking up the format in Denver, Seattle, Philly, Reno etc. Why not D/FW? I understand that I am going to be crucified for even bringing this up but there are a lot of fans. All we need is Cameron, Tempie and Lynn Briggs and we would be back in business! 8)

And if anyone likes a cool venue with live jazz and great martinis let me suggest Scat Jazz Lounge in downtown Fort Worth... always FUN! http://www.scatjazzlounge.com/

I wasn't aware of smooth jazz coming back to Denver. Do you remember which station?

I heard about the others, and, as much as I'm happy to see the format returning to the airwaves, I don't know that it's making a comeback. The stations that have it in Seattle, Philly and Reno are on the higher side of the AM band and generally do a poor job covering their markets, especially after dark.

KNTU 88.1 FM plays quite a bit of jazz. Not full time, but it is the predominant format. Of course, they also span a wide gamut of jazz styles, from piano to fusion.
