Bill Harman was fired this week from Smooth Jazz (Saga) WJZA/WJZK, in Columbus, OH. He spent twelve years at the station. They recently put Ramsey Lewis on AM Drive and Dave Koz in PM, wonder if they'll go completely VT'd?
 
I suspected that was coming since it was odd to have three PDs, one for each of Saga's three stations in the building. Especially when none of them are performing well. The new PD is Bill Shannon of their oldies station. All he has to do is monitor the dish. He has no staff to manage. More than likely Miranda is on middays. They have a local VTer 7P to Midnight but other than him and a standards specialty host on Sunday nights they have no other local hosts. I predict a flip to another format or a flip to all BA by year's end. The PD firing serves as the perfect setup since he was the middayer. Probably will get rid of the remaining local hosts and Shannon will have no distractions to work with his main station.
