Simulcasting a station on line

That is if you are using music not purchased for production purposes. That means if you are an all talk operation and you bought background music and effects to use behind and in your commercials and do not use music from any other source you do not have to license with ASCAP,BMI, or SESAC. When you become a music station or one with segments of music then you must license with those scoundrels.

If you grabbed a song from your record collection or went on line and bought the latest song by Britteny and played it on the air or during a commercials ( something like more than 10 seconds of it ) then you have to shell out.
