Salsa 98.1 coming to an end

Radio Insight is reporting that the 3rd rated Spanish language station in central Florida Salsa 98.1 is gone by Monday. They are reporting rumors that an English language Christian broadcaster may be taking over the programming of the signal . K Love is the obvious big possibility but Way FM or The Joy FM are others. Considering that K-Love recently bought two signals in Minneapolis and made one Air 1 and leased to other out to a worship music competitor its possible that since 88.3 is so popular that Air 1 could launch on the signal but then again it may not even be a music network it could be a preaching network.

That signal just did not match the growing population areas of the Puerto Rican migrants to Central Florida, particularly around Kissimmee and Saint Cloud. Coming from the Northeast, the 60 dbu barely and is best towards Oviedo, Altamonte Springs and Lake Mary, not the more Hispanic areas.
