Remember THIS Movie?

No, I don't. And I like to think I am up on All Things 70's.

Sounds to me like this was a misfire that came back around a decade
later as Pump Up The Volume.

Will have to watch the whole thing when I get time. Looks like it was
videotaped right off the air in 1979!
 
I actually saw this on Showtime in 1982. It obviously wasn't Oscar material (few movies involving radio broadcasting ever are.) And I imagine it was hard to jock while DRIVING back then. TOTALLY inadvisable now (especially off a CB mic.)

How about Vanishing Point? We were discussing that one in the office just the other day.
Just what sort of radio station was that Cleavon Little worked for? You could drive all the
way from Colorado Springs to San Francisco and not have them fade or drop out for a second!
