Oldies Format Comes Back to Atlanta! 94.9 Lite FM Begins Broadcasting a 2nd Broadcast Channel Today in Amazing High Definition Digital Sound!

Other new to Atlanta music includes “New Alternative,” “Adult Alternative,” and “Tropical” from 105.3 The Buzz, 96 Rock and Viva 105.7 respectively.
All the new channels are commercial free and there is never a fee!

Atlanta, January 30, 2006 – Radio in Atlanta just got a whole lot more fun – Oldies music is back on the radio, starting today!

Clear Channel Radio Atlanta has begun broadcasting High Definition (HD) digital radio channels in four exciting new HD2 digital-radio multicasts. Other local stations offering new channels include 96 Rock, 105.3 The Buzz and Viva 105.7.

All of the new channels are in addition to the normal broadcast signals. These new broadcasts are commercial-free and there is never a fee to listen to HD digital radio! Listeners on waiting lists for popular HD digital radio receivers can catch the new channels online on the stations’ websites.

Under the direction of local Atlanta programmers, the new channels can be found on HD receivers at:

94.9 HD2: “Cool Oldies on 94.9 Lite fm”
105.3 HD2: “The Buzz Incubator”
96.1 HD2: “The Cabin”
105.7 HD2: “Viva Tropical HD2”

Rodney, does this start today (1/29)? I've gone to bothe 96rock and Lite-FM sites, and I see nowhere to listen to the new HD channels, or even a mention of the new channels. What gives?
