Party 105 stepping up the dance a bit more

After playing not all that much dance in the early part of the year Party 105 stepped the dance product up closer to where it use to be back in May. Now it seems they have stepped the notch up again & are playing even more dance. Only 2 of their top 5 is dance (which is understandable considering how big those 3 non-dance songs are), but afterthat their playlist is very heavily on the dance side

Here is their current playlist from their website

Party 105 has definitely stepped it up again which makes the station a PLEASURE! I thought they were losing it when they were more hip-hop/reggaeton oriented a few months back.

I am a big fan of dance hip hop & reggaeton. Party since its inception in 98 has always leaned a bit more on the hip hop side from late fall to early spring, then tended to pick up the dance again. Few months back however they were playing more hip hop than they did in previous years & some of the dance sounded a bit outta place. As far as stations mixing dance hip hop & reggaeton it depends partially on the market ( & it can work on LI), but even more important on how it all flows together & this is where Party for the most part has always done a great job, even in the winters where they have leaned more hip hop, slipped a bit this past winter, but right now the way everything on the station just flows together & sounds is brilliant.
