I contacted Midwest City, Infinity San Diego, and both station groups said it was made up; no truth to it. The management returned my phone calls. Not wanting to get into a match with the Reader or the author of the "article", the insiders in the Jeff and Jer camp and the radio stations in question say the same thing.
Jeff and Jer will be an important part of Jack FM in Sandy Eggo.
As far as the Jen story and the two fancy cars, that segement is on target. It's the speculation of Jeff and Jer jumping into an infinity and driving to a different planet: off target.

To clarify: I was writing about the 103.7 proposed move. Again, before this breaks out into a p i s s i n g contest with the Reader or the author, both stations involved said there was no truth to the story; and that Jeff and Jer were not moving.

The story back then was about Infinity, not Clear-channel. And lets admit it, NOBODY expected them to go to 94.1 !
Face it, suck up to it, you didn't see it comming.
This is what's called missing the forest for the trees.
Don't pick on Chris, he did his job! He checked to confirm, checked his sourcs, and reported what whatever he could find.
Yep, some nice looking redwoods up there... Even a few pine trees.

My guess is that they'd take a powder. Going back to PM drive from mornings would say to the industry that they washed out in AM. It's be a personal insult, too. Better to go do AM drive in Tucson or somewhere while they hone their chops.
