Nominees For The Worst Public Radio Station Ever

This topic was originally posted on the Tampa-St. Pete board but it seems like a topic public radio fans every where can weigh in on. Include worst overall or worst in some specific category. Please say why you nominated your choice.

And even still any so-called "worst" public radio station can be better in quality than the "best" commercial radio station in the same market. It's a matter of judgement, really. And since most public/non-comm radio stations share network programming (NPR, APM, PRX, etc.), I'd say this is rather a moot point...

A PM about this thread got me thinking and this thread and the original thread seem stalled. Partly because many people only have exposure to a limited number of public radio stations, and partly because the topic is sort of broad. So, here are some more specific nominations:

Worst station manager: Bill Marrazzo, WHYY-FM. Way over-paid. Destroyed staff morale.

Worst under-achiever: WKAR and WKAR-FM. Getting beat on local stories by WUOM. Once an outstanding local news-talk operation.

Most chaotic: WBAI.
