For all of the naysayers who believe young people don't listen to Doo Wop, I was contacted by a teenager from North Carolina who attends the school for the blind. He emailed me, said he has a group and listens to my show and wanted to know if I could listen to some of their acappella cuts that they recorded. Said I would love to. They blew me away. They are called the Charming 5. Listen to two of their cuts in hour two of the DOO WOP VAULT. Thanks for sharing that, Mister vault. If you like doo-wop (as I do) and Disney (as I do), you'll enjoy this medley of Disney tunes performed a cappella by a doo-wop group from UMass Amherst. They call themselves Doo-Wop Shop. Yes, I know---not a very original name. They also released a CD.
