Hey guys,
We have a local station here that is a CHR/AC Station.. And I want to suggest some tracks to try and introduce a bit of dance into their music mix... Can anyone suggest around 5 songs that would make a good crossover with this type of station?

Thanks!

CHR/Ac you say?

I'll give you 10:

DHT "Listen To Your Heart"
Deepest Blue "Deepest Blue"
Kim Wilde "Loved"
Gadjo "So Many Times"
Max Graham "Owner of a Lonely Heart"
Kings of Tommorow "Finally"
DJ Sammy "Heavy"
Brad Carter "Morning Always Comes Too Soon"
Stellar Project "Get Up Stand Up"
Tina Cousins "Wonderful Life"<P ID="edit"><FONT class="small">Edited by CHRles on 07/08/05 07:09 PM.</FONT></P>

DHT - Listen to your heart
Max A Million - Fat Boy
Fragma - Mircacle
Eric Prydz - Call On Me
The Body Rockers - I Like The Way

A little new, a little old, a little recurrent. Especially for a CHR/AC station experimenting. LaBouche, Robin S and other "hits" for that format's target demo wouldn't hurt either. If it doesn't even sound familiar to something those people listening will think it's too foreign to their ears.

debra cocks - "easy as life"[if my spelling is wrong I'm sorry]
qed - "love bites"
da buzz - let me love you

As I'm more into euro stuff like rob maith, tune up! etc, my other choices may not apeal to the north american audience.
cascada - everytime we tutch[radio mix]
oceanlab - sattlelight
Those five tracks in my opp would do reasonably well, as well as dht - listen to your heart, but you only wanted five, :p

We're talking about "commercial" for the CHR/AC demographic, your choices while great songs would fall on mostly deaf ears for that format

Thanks very much for your suggestions. Here is the reply I go from the music director:

Thanks for the e-mail and your input...you will be hearing some dance/CHR
crossover music in the
near future...keep listening!

Definately a step in the right direction - hopefully more CHR's follow suit!

Solid list - I would love to see The Body Rockers hit the Mainstream Top 40 airwaves, and even get played on some Rhythmic CHRs.
Since you mentioned Fragma, I think "Embrace Me" would be better suited for an AC leaning CHR, but "Miracle" would sound good too.
I also mentioned to John Parker on this board a song called "Can You Feel It" by Jean Roch, though admittedly it might sound better on Mainstream CHR then it would on an Adult leaning one.

Throw in Kristine W's "Wonder Of It All" as well, either the ballad original or the dance remix.
