Mini VNA for broadcast antennae

Has anyone used one of the inexpensive VNA network analyzers on broadcast antennae? I would be interested in your experiences / observations using the unit. I have been thinking about buying one as they run about $150 and I can't justify one of the more expensive units.

I bought one from Gigaparts.com and found it matches my much more expensive HP Network Analyzer in a side to side bench shootout, but for broadcast use, there are some catches:

1. Their displays are small and the resolution isn't great. That means if trying to read the Smith Chart, you will have a tough time getting a precise reading.
2. They all use SMA connections in and out. Going from SMA to N with an adapter is pretty easy, but jumping up to a 7/8, 2 1/8, 3 1/8 EIA transmission line can effect your readings. For a quick and dirty spot check, it should be okay. I for one wouldn't try to tune a broadcast antenna with one.
3. Their generators don't have much oomph. You'll be disappointed trying to l look at an antenna tune at the end of a 500' TX line.
4. Connecting this to a mounted broadcast antenna/TX line with other stations on the air around it, will probably blow it up.

For amateur and maybe some 2-Way/Land Mobile work? It's a really good deal.
