Cox has announced that Harper will manage WHBQ-TV effective immediately.

Cox Media Group on Monday promoted Michelle Harper, vice president of corporate sales, to vice president and general manager of its Fox affiliate WHBQ Memphis (DMA 51) , effective immediately. In her new role, Harper will provide strategic leadership and oversight for all station departments and functions, including news, sales, marketing, production, programming, community affairs and more.

Her background and strategic vision make her the perfect fit to lead this station and continue delivering the best news and entertainment in Memphis,” says Jane Williams, EVP for Cox Media Group
