LPFM Odds and Ends

KLHG 99.7 in Galveston is apparently on the air. Anyone in that area hearing it? Spanish language religious.

The new Rice University station on 96.1 will have the KBLT call. Wonder if that letter combo has any particular meaning?

The website for KOER 101.5 Cypress indicates they are close to their fundraising goal to get the station on the air. http://rhemagospelradio.com/koer-fm.html

A few recent call letter assignments: KJJG 92.5 South Houston, KRUT 94.9 Houston, KIRP 98.3 Sugar Land, KHSX 101.5 Houston, KQEU 101.7 Houston, KMAZ 102.5 Houston.

Frog... Since you are on top of all this LPFM stuff, I was just curious about 104.5. Before, the LPFM frequency finder was telling me no usable frequencies were available at our location. Now its saying 104.5 is available. Did someone withdraw an app, or an app get denied?

One of the LPFM CPs granted to the City of Conroe is on 104.5. There is also the CP for K283CH in Alvin, run by the same religious group that programs the 94.1 translator.

104.5 might be in play as a frequency change for any remaining LPFM hopefuls, but I'd have to do some digging on those.
