Latest Ratings

The Latest Ratings have been released.

Notes: WWYZ dethroned WRCH as the Top Station. WDRC-FM has the highest ratings in a long time.

What is released to the public is colloquially, but inaccurately, called "ratings". Actually, the public releases are "shares" and not "ratings".

The ratings for virtually every station in the US have gone down greatly in March and even more in April.

If the total audience is off as much as 48% in several markets, then a 10 share today is the same as a 5 share in February.

Rating: percent of all people listening to a station.
Share: percentage of just radio listeners listening to a station.

Today, ratings are about one-twentieth of a station's share.
