Kentucky Derby-winning horse Barbaro euthanized TODAY

Oh, what the hell.

A horse.

A most unusual horse.

Incredible efforts to save that horse.

Finally recognition that life for said horse was to consist entirely of pain and all hope of any quality of life was gone.

Now, what part of that might or might not apply to a person existing under the same conditions?

Why does the "humanity" extended to a horse seem "inhumane" when extended to a person in pain with no possibility of anything beyond pain?

When can we expect to see videos of thousands of protesting mourners demanding murder charges be brought against the vets and owners?

If not, WHY not?

A horse is a horse, of course, of course.
And no one can talk to a horse of course
That is, of course, unless the horse is the famous Mister B.

Go right to the source and ask the horse
He’ll give you the answer that you’ll endorse.
He’s always on a steady course.
Talk to Mister B.

Translation....Mr. May, what did this original post have to do with Philly area radio?

I thought it clever that the post was moved to "Off the Air..."

Certainly the case for Barbaro. (ba-da-bing...)

Because it was major local news, that's why.

Mr. May, one of the reasons people jump down your throat is that the board isn't about *Philly news*, it's about Philly radio...this is called "topic drift", and the message thread was rightfully moved.

Please contribute to good "'netiquette" by respecting the subject matter of this website...if you feel compelled to post about matters not related to radio, add an "OT:" to the subject...which stands for Off Topic...

Helpfully,

I had a double reaction to the headline regarding this that was posted on Fark.com, they had "... condition downgraded to glue"
