iPhone for Remote Broadcast

Anyone here have any success with interfacing a mixer to an iPhone to actually BROADCAST audio?
The only articles I can find re; using a mixer with a cell phone deal with RECORDING --- audio for MP3 files, news interviews, etc.
It appears the internal audio connections of a cell phone are the ONLY audio that can be used when actually MAKING A CALL....
Any ideas?? I've tried a Saramonic LC-XLR cable with no success -- no audio from the external mic, just from the phone's speaker and mic
TIA!!

JK Audio makes/made an XLR Bluetooth receiver that plugs into the board and can be paired with the iPhone - - it was a bit fickle, but served the intended purpose of having a mixed broadcast for remote purposes.
