Internet company surcharges--quietly tacking on TV bills and such.

For the last six or so months, I noticed my Spectrum internet bill was higher than usual, but with the way price hikes have been going I did not think much. I got suspicious though when it went up even more...turns out, they tacked on cable TV to my internet! Crazy such a thing can happen, (apparently at a "discounted" price at first.) Anyone else face a similar situation?

I read something similar happened to someone who posted on Reddit, that spectrum added TV essentials and when they tried to remove it, they told then the price for Internet alone would increase.

Of course, when you call and they correct things, they will say "computer error". It amazes me that cable companies, some of the lowest-esteemed businesses in America, consistently have annoying (if not nasty) customer service and "sneaky" if not dishonest billing practices.

I can't think of a cable company, going back to the 70's, that ever gave me a positive feeling when doing business with them.
