Just heard "Crawling Back to You" at a Walgreens.

This means it will be huge on this format.

Don't count on it. Muzak's "Foreground Music One" (FM1) and other AC-ish background music services have a far greater variety than anything you'll hear on terrestrial radio -- not even "Jack-FM" can compare.

For example, yesterday I walked into a mall, and the first song I heard on their Muzak system was Jack Johnson's "Sitting, Waiting, Wishing". When I first heard that song on a non-commercial AOR station I thought it would be a massive AC hit. Needless to say I was wrong; it's yet another "Muzak exclusive".

And I encountered yet another one last night: right as I walked into a convenience store, the song playing on their Muzak system was Jason Mraz - "Sleep All Day". That track, and "You and I Both" (which I've also heard on Muzak) and even "The Remedy (I Won't Worry)" are all perfect fits for mainstream AC, but yet aside from his Hot AC/CHR hit "Wordplay", commercial radio has all but ignored Mraz's music.
