HOW DO YOU USE RADIO-INFO.COM?

Please include your comments, not just yes/no.

How often do you visit radio-info.com?

Do you ever look at threads that have flipped to page 2?

Do you ever search?

Do you ever look at your old postings?

Do you ever look at bios?

Do you ever use links IN POSTINGS?

How many different radio-info boards do you look at?

and most important (to me, anyway),

Have you ever looked at the South Florida Radio Pages?

Monday through Saturday, at least twice each day.

There are people who don't?

Yes, often to show a friend a specific conversation that's long been gone from the front page.

> Do you ever look at your old postings?
Occasionally.

> Do you ever look at bios?
Sometimes, but only to see who it is I'm proving wrong.

Every once in a while, yes. My signature itself has two.

Twelve: C2C, Community, FCC Policy, Off The Air, Miami, Raleigh/Greensboro, Engineering, Production, CHR/Pop, Dance, News/Talk and DX. Occasionally I'll wander off to Chicago, College Radio or Remix Pros.

I live and die by them... gotta keep up with what's going on back home!

I generally look a couple of times every day, unless the PC is down or a hurricane has cut off power.

> > Do you ever look at threads that have flipped to page 2?

I've assumed that once they get off page one, they get less attention.
Actually, wondering about that is the inspiration for all these questions.

Me, too.
Or to find a link or paragraph I've posted before.

See previous answer.

> > Do you ever look at bios?

Ditto. To see context, if possible.

> > Do you ever use links IN POSTINGS?

I change my sig frequently.
But what I meant is, looking at other people's links.

Miami, Off The Air, and Coast-To-Coast every day.
News and Oldies Less Frequently.
Many others occasionally.

Thanks for the kind words. I expect to have September Radio News up by this weekend/Labor Day. It'll be a big one.

Not very often. The only time I might do that or even past page 2 is if there's something I might want to lookup from the past.
> Do you ever search?
>
> Do you ever look at your old postings?
I don't always look at my old postings unless I think I may have made a mistake in a posting, or if a moderator might have edited or deleted one of my postings.
> Do you ever look at bios?
I get curious about who might be behind the username. If there's a link to a website they have, I'll definitely check it out.
> Do you ever use links IN POSTINGS?
If there's something I'd like people to see, of course!
> How many different radio-info boards do you look at?
Chicago, Chicago TV, National TV, Indiana, Wisconsin, Illinois (sometimes), Off the air, Coast to Coast, Engineering, DX, CHR/Pop (not as much as I used to), Hot/Modern AC, Non-commercial, Variety Hits, and occasionally Ask Radio-info.com.
> and most important (to me, anyway),

Never heard of that site, and probably won't check it out simply because I have little interest in Florida. Give me something on Wisconsin. That's the state I like to visit a lot, especially Milwaukee.

First place I go when on the internet. An internet junkie like me, every 5-10minutes when online which is usually all afternoon till about 3AM. Before I finally got home internet again in 2002 after having no phone since 2000 (2000-2001 era) I stopped in whenever I got the chance to go to the library which was maybe a few times a week.

and to answer a later question...yes, I understand this. "73's" is a ham radio term meaning so long, and "954" is an area code. Correct?

Ah. Then in that case, it's a rare occurance, but occasionally something will catch my eye.

I look forward to it!

I think most people get the "954", and if they don't... for those of you in Rio Linda, it's an area code. Look it up. As for the "73s", it may be meaningless to many on the boards, but maybe that'd be incentive for them to look it up, maybe leading them into getting involved.

That hadn't crossed my mind, but now that I think about it... :)

No, as stated above, 73's is an amateur radio term for "so long". <P ID="signature">______________

Greetings from Ohio-where the governor wants everyone to know he's sorry.</P>

> How often do you visit radio-info.com?

Twice a day for most of the boards I visit, some a little more often if there is a hot thread I'm following.

> Do you ever look at threads that have flipped to page 2?

Occasionally. On most of the boards, threads are pretty much dying out by the time they move to page 2. And I'm there enough to see the last new posts in threads long before they flip.

> Do you ever search?

Yes, to find old threads that need to be referenced to answer questions in new ones.

> Do you ever look at your old postings?

Occasionally, but usually I'm trying to find a specific reference I made earlier so I have to read all my posts in a given thread to find it.

> Do you ever look at bios?

I'm a moderator; how else do I get the e-mails of problem posters?

Lots.

The ten that I moderate on a regular, daily basis, a couple or three more on occasion, and Off The Air a couple of times a week.
